I am so excited to be teaching in the studio of Linda RobertsonSat/Sun, August 25-26, 2018. 10 am - 4 pm, $315 USD
Location: Portland, Oregon
I'm excited to offer a 2-day workshop on using the Encaustic Painting Iron with artist Bethany Handfield of Exploring Encaustic! You'll learn the basics of working with the painting iron through making abstract and landscape style paintings on special painting cards.
As you can see from the video above, this is a very different approach from my classes where we paint on panel, but these new techniques can be used on panel as well. For this class we will paint on different types of papers, plus explore easy collage and stamping techniques. Everyone will go home with several completed paintings on paper and the knowledge to keep working on your own. Confirmation, directions to my studio and additional information will be emailed to each student upon registration.
Space is limited to 6 students so classes fill quickly. Students leave class with several completed projects. All supplies will be provided for use during the class including irons, but you may order your own Encaustic Iron Starter kit from Bethany ahead of time to take home with you. Visit her website for more information on the products we will be using in class and email her for details on ordering. Prices on her website are in Canadian as Bethany lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in Penticton, British Columbia.
NOTE: If the date you want is listed below then there is still room in that class.
waxx@ lindarobertsonarts.com. Classes must be paid for in full by cash, check or credit card prior to the class to confirm your spot. When your payment is received you will be emailed a confirmation notice, additional information about the classes and a map to my studio in NE Portland.
